First off, I would like to thank everyone who has shared my blog posts on Facebook and Twitter. I would like to thank all the people who read and comment, I appreciate it and I hope these posts can be of benefit towards your journey. If you are someone like me who has tattoos, and is looking to get more tattoos, Thailand might just be a good spot to get some ink while you are on vacation. I spent most of my time in Chiang Mai, a little bit in Bangkok, and when I would go to some of these markets I would notice people who had a booths set up to give anyone that dropped money some tattoos. I do not have any pictures of these booths, because like I said before I did not know I would be making a website about my experiences before, but you can do some research on Google. Trust me when I tell you that most of them got skills, these weren’t no stick figure tattoos that they were giving out, they were very good quality tattoos. I understand if some people might be hesitant to get a tattoo in a 3rd world country overseas, but from what I saw they all use clean needles every time. Nobody that I knew of that got a tattoo in Thailand has ever gotten an infection, the shops and booths were sanitary and clean, but it is understandable if you are hesitant.
Now let’s get into the pricing. Recently, a friend of mine, went to Pattaya and got a fairly big sized tattoo on his chest. I asked him how much it cost and he told me $60. I was in shock!!! He said that same tattoo that he got in Pattaya for $60 they quoted him for $400 in Tokyo Japan. Now if you have tattoos, you know that a $400 tattoo is a decent size piece. For it to be the same amount as a big meal at a restaurant for 2, and good quality, is pretty much a steal. I wish I had pictures to show you of his tattoo, but he has it patched up right now and he is probably in the club dancing with a young lady since it is about midnight over there right now as I am typing this. But trust me, I would not steer you in the wrong direction, I have seen the work that they do over there myself. Another friend told me that ever since he invited his other friend to go to Thailand last year, he said that from now on while he is on vacation he will get all of his tattoos done in Pattaya. To me that says a lot. I would imagine getting a whole sleeve done would probably cost 400 lol. So if you have some extra money to spare, why not take a visit to a local shop and just see for yourself and decide wether you want to get one or not. Tattoos are becoming more and more popular and that waiting list is a pain to get some decent work done. Vacationing is all bout enjoying your time in a beautiful country and coming back with some stories to tell. Why not get a tattoo and telling everyone back home where you got it from and how much it cost, it would make a great conversation starter.
